Clay pigeon shooting is a thrilling experience, demanding calm concentration, a keen eye and quick reactions . Perfect your aim and time your shots and soon you will be notching up your ‘kills’. Of course these are not real birds and no one gets hurt, making it a great sport for all – young and old, men and women alike.

We have a range of introductory clay pigeon shooting lessons available at selected venues across the country where you can learn first hand from the experts in a safe and friendly environment. We will supply everything you need for your shoot including:

• Shotguns
• Cartridges
• Ear defende

New to shooting? Our ‘Have A Go’ lessons are just what you’re looking for if you want some great fun! For individuals and small groups we run a 25, 50 or 75 shot session, and they are always popular as a gift idea for Birthdays, Fathers’ Day and Christmas, and let’s not forget staff rewards!! Have a go lessons are ideal for those who have little or no shooting experience – the session will last between 1 to 2 hours, and during the session each individual will be given a safety briefing before going out to break some clays!! All equipment will be provided including shotgun, clays, cartridges, safety glasses and hearing protection. All you need remember is some sturdy footwear and suitable clothing for the day!

An example introductory shooting day

9.30 – start in the private function room. This will be a presentation and demonstration to cover such aspects as gun safety, gun handling, etiquette, method, gun fit, eye dominance and chokes

12.30 – break for lunch in the main function room (lunch included)

1.30 – onto the grounds for up to 50 shot lesson (all equipment included)

4.00 – back to the function room for a de brief, gun cleaning session and hand out of certificates

The younger generation of budding shooters are also catered for – some locations have a Young Guns Club, where youngsters are introduced to the world of shooting in a safe yet fun and friendly manner.
